About Nornir Kennels

Nornir Kennels is primarily the passion project of me, Alexandra Kimbrough. I have been invested in the Alaskan Klee Kai breed since bringing home my first puppy in 2004. Nakoa, who came from Eileen Gregory in Colorado, sparked my journey into the world of conformation and set the foundation for my lifelong involvement with the breed.

Living in Southern California provided wonderful opportunities to connect with fellow breeders and exhibitors, and I have been fortunate to build lasting friendships and learn from many respected mentors along the way. Some of my primary contributions to the community have been serving on the Board of Directors for the AKKAOA breed club and through my work in photography, by documenting dogs on the show circuit and helping preserve their legacy. I continue this effort today by contributing photos to the Alaskan Klee Kai Pedigree Database whenever possible, ensuring each dog is remembered not only by name, but by image as well.

The AKK that made Nornir Kennels possible

More than twenty years after picking up my first Alaskan Klee Kai puppy, I remain actively involved in showing and breeding on a small scale. At Nornir Kennels, my Alaskan Klee Kai are first and foremost cherished members of the family. We raise only a few thoughtfully planned litters each year.

I look forward to continuing my involvement within the breed community and contributing in meaningful ways that support the health, preservation, and appreciation of the Alaskan Klee Kai for years to come.
