ALASKAN KLEE KAI

The Alaskan Klee Kai is a small northern breed of dog developed through numerous years of selective breeding. Though commonly referred to as a miniature husky, the Alaskan Klee Kai is a unique breed in its own and is recognized by the United Kennel Club and is working its way up to full AKC recognition.

Nornir Kennels is a small kennel located in Pasadena, California. We have been involved with the breed since 2004 and we remain active in the Alaskan Klee Kai community. We are currently small in size but are dedicated to improving the Alaskan Klee Kai breed by producing quality litters through careful selection. We breed for outstanding health, temperament and structure in compliance with the breed standard. Dogs in our breeding program can be expected to have complete OFA/CHIC health certifications. It is important to us that each of our puppies be given the best opportunities to thrive. For this reason, we ask all those who are interested in acquiring an Alaskan Klee Kai from Nornir Kennels to fill out a questionnaire before any placement of our dogs. This allows us to determine which individuals are the best candidates for each of our puppies based on their interests and lifestyle.
